We’ve seen a recent rise in scenarios where subs leave the upstream contractor in a difficult situation that ultimately leads to paying more for another sub to assume the work, or the GC’s have to bear the risk of non-performance due to the sub’s inability to bond their work or pass muster for Surety Default Insurance.
